Udaipur, addressed as the city of lakes in the deserts of Rajasthan. It was the capital city of the great kingdom of Mewar. It is separated by the great Aravali range (mountain range) from the Thar desert. It has often been dubbed as “the most romantic spot of the Indian continent” due to its rich history, culture, scenic beauty and Rajput-era palaces and forts. We urge our volunteers who enjoy art, history and museums to visit this beautiful city not far from our base project location Jaipur in Rajasthan. Our volunteers and participants generally love going to Udaipur and other surrounding cities as a quick-getaway during the projects.
